The ‘KONTAKT 1A’ initiative is being implemented under the guidelines for the State Programme – Employment for Thuringia, funding priority 2.2: vocational integration of specific target groups.
The primary aim of this holistic educational approach is to provide participants with long-term support in their social and professional integration into the training and labour markets. In addition to analysing and overcoming existing barriers to employment, the programme works with participants to develop career prospects and lay the foundations for their integration into the labour market. The content of the KONTAKT 1A programme is tailored to the specific needs of people from migrant backgrounds who have access to the labour market and encompasses various areas of focus, with the overarching objectives of preparing participants for the training and labour markets and facilitating their professional integration, whilst simultaneously enhancing their capacity for social integration.
Workshop – up to 15 hours per week
Individual coaching – up to 4 teaching units per week (corresponding to an average hourly rate)
Vocational orientation, work experience, skills development and integration placements (duration depending on the participant’s individual situation and their progress in development and integration)
Community-oriented project work
In order to provide participants with optimal, needs-based support, the aforementioned areas of focus are available as optional services. This means that participants may take part in all, one, or 2–3 selected areas of focus. The specific areas of focus are determined individually for each participant and may be adapted to their current stage of development as the project progresses. A multi-professional network is utilised to provide participants with tailor-made support.
Target group: People with a migrant background or refugee experience who are not entitled to benefits under SGB II either at the start of the project or throughout their participation in the project.
